Crown Ducal Orange Tree factory marks. The very popular Orange Tree pattern was produced by A J Richardson under the Crown Ducal name. It was designed by Norman Keates and was introduced in 1925. The tableware came in three basic shapes, round, square and octagonal, but many (and no one seems to know how many) extra pieces were produced, making Orange Tree an intriguing and fascinating collectible. Glyn Colledge stoneware. Glyn Colledge was a potter and designer b. 23 July 1922, d. 9 September 2000. Glyn succeeded his father Albert as head of the hand-decorated stoneware department at Denby in 1950. The occasion was marked by the renaming of the Danesby Ware range to Glyn Ware. During the 1960's a new range Glynbourne was introduced. He was made a director of Denby and took early retirement in 1983. He continued to produce work from his own studio pottery .
