Birds

In 2007 I purchased 13 boxes of glass mounted lantern slides. Most were photomicrographs but there were also some beautiful monochrome bird photographs. Included in this gallery are examples that I have restored. So far my research suggests these are the work of Douglas F Lawson F.I.B.P., F.R.P.S., F.R.M.S., F.Z.S. Douglas was head of the photographic department at Beacham Research Laboratories Ltd and deputy chairman of Epsom Camera Club.

He was the author of a classic book on Photomicrography.
