Looking out from Aveline's Hole the oldest scientifically dated cemetery in the UK. The remains of approximately 20 individuals found here are believed to be around 10000 years old. Inscribed crosses on the cave wall dating from the early Mesolithic period have been discovered. This image manipulated to simulate moonlight.
